Mike Armstrong
Service Director
I'm Mike Armstrong, Service Director at Paradise Chevrolet-Cadillac. I was born in Manchester, Connecticut, but have lived in the Temecula CA area since 1988. My three favorite movies are, The Shawshank Redemption, Major League, and Spaceballs. My favorite food is anything with meat!

I like to vacation in Hawaii, Las Vegas and Connecticut. Most people call me the guy who will get it done, but you can call me Mike. When I am not at work I enjoy playing golf, camping with my family, and playing softball.

I have been in the service end of the automotive business since 1997, when I was 17, but before that I worked for a hotel, a pizza restaurant, and a valet service. I began at the very bottom of the automotive world washing vehicles for a small Pontiac-Oldsmobile-GMC dealership here in Temecula. From there I moved to be a lube technician for about a year, and then to a technician helper. From there, I became a certified technician.

After a couple years as a technician, and realizing my body could not withstand the demand required of that type of work, I moved into a dispatcher position. I then progressed to becoming a shop foreman focusing my efforts on the customer and quality control and eventually becoming a service consultant. After 12 years I was given a huge opportunity to join the Paradise team and in 2009 accepted a position here as a service consultant. After about 4 years I was given a promotion to service manager. Three years of service management flew by and have now been given my greatest challenge to date - service director in charge of one of the best service departments in the country.

It has been a long and interesting journey, and there isn't anything I would change. This business has taught me that hard work, perseverance, and determination can take you anywhere you can dream of, I have met some amazing people throughout my career, not only in my co-workers, but also in the customers I have had the privilege to serve over the past 20+ years. I feel my customers enjoy working with me because of my sincere motivation to fix a problem and my empathy to their situations. My best quality is probably my ability to solve problems with the utmost honesty and integrity while always looking out for the best interests of the customer, because without them we have no business.

Doug Ritchey
Service Manager
I'm Doug Ritchy, and I was born in Chino, California, but I was raised in Poway California. My favorite movies are, Into the Wild, American Sniper, and Eight Seconds. My favorite food is anything that comes off my BBQ. I like to vacation in Hawaii, or keep it simple and it’s always a fun time in Lake Havasu. I don’t really have a nickname but some of my friends call me Douger. When I’m not here, I’m hanging out with my twin 3-year-old sons. I love surfing, water skiing, and wake boarding.

My family owned a car dealership in Poway, so I have been in the automotive business since I was 8 years old, and I have done almost everything in a dealership. I have sold cars, painted cars, repaired cars, detailed cars and performed body work on vehicles. I have only had one job outside of the car business and that was at a restaurant for about 3 months.

I have worked here at Paradise Chevrolet-Cadillac since 2013, first as a service advisor, and then at the beginning of 2016, I accepted my new role as service manager. This is a job that requires a lot of hours but I love doing it and couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I am a people person and a problem solver and each day I get o come to work and take care of people and cars the same way I would take care of a family member.
Marcus McConnell
Wholesale Parts Manager
I was born in Riverside CA, and currently live in Winchester CA. I have a son and daughter in college. My favorite teams are Team Paradise, and the Los Angeles Angels and LA Rams. My passion is to travel, and I’ve been to many places in the United States with my son touring the country wanting to visit all the Major League Ballparks. We’ve been to 16, and have 14 to go! My favorite place on the planet so far is Ireland. I also love traveling on a cruise ship. I enjoy family time, motorcycles, and racing.

I was just 17 years old when I started working at an auto dealership as a part time porter. I tried service as a lube technician, didn’t enjoy it much, and so I joined the parts department team where I’ve been since 1992. In 1998, I joined the Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac team as a parts counter person. In 2004, I was promoted to assistant parts manager. In 2008, I was asked to be the parts manager at one of our sister stores, and returned to Paradise Chevrolet in 2014.

We are a team of 23 people working together to support our sales, service, body shop and wholesale customers, employees, and community. I enjoy the challenge and rewards that come with working for a dealership that demands our team provide the highest level of service in the industry.

Ruben Aranda
Parts Director
I was born in El Paso, Texas in 1954 and have a twin sister. My parents moved to South Central Los Angeles in 1957 and we’ve been here in southern California ever since. I graduated from La Puente High School in 1972 and married in 1975, and I’m still deeply in love with the same wonderful woman. We have a daughter and a son who both reside in the Inland Empire.

Since our dealer, Terry Gilmore hired me in March of 1992, we’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Europe, Asia, Australia, and Latin America through contests provided by GM Parts and our dealer. I love the competition and winning trips around the world.

I enjoy classic cars and have had a 1957 Chevy Bel Air that I bought from my cousin back in 1978, and because I’m in the parts business, it is powered by a GM 350 Performance Crate Engine! What else? I’ve also been a huge LA Dodgers fan since I was 6 years old, and I also love the Lakers, and the Clippers basketball, and the Oakland Raiders football team. I’m also a cancer survivor and I’m thankful for every single day now.

I started in the auto business as a parts driver in 1974 and after 3 years became an apprentice parts counter person, then moving up to Parts Manager in 1984. I’ve a wide range of experience working for 12 GM dealers in my 40+ year career, and now have been here at Paradise Chevrolet since 1992. I’ve watched what was a small town turn into a huge business hub here in southern Riverside county.

I have the best management staff one could wish for here and with very loyal employees who care about our customers and strive to make each day the best and resolve any issues that may arise. We are one of the very few GM dealers in the nation that is open 7 days a week for service and parts, and we pride ourselves in our service of our customers.

We carry one of the largest parts inventories to serve our customers quickly, including engines, transmissions, and body parts. We are proud to have been #1 out of 388 wholesale GM parts dealers in all of the United States.
